The Ketogenic Lifestyle goes against everything we have been taught about health and nutrition.  For many folks, the hardest part is maintaining your personal motivation in the face of scrutiny from "well-intended" friends and family and even medical professionals. 
I will give you the strategies I employed to overcome all this "adversity" to  develop the thick skin of the Rhino.  Once you develop this thick skinned attitude, nothing will stop you from reaching your goals, whether they are just weight loss or full on life changing well being.
As you start this journey, you are going into it with only a belief that it will be good for you.  Armed with only belief, your are very susceptible to having your goals be derailed, again by those "well-intended" friends and family.  With my strategies, you will quickly transition your belief into "Conviction."  It is this conviction that will sustain you to reach your goals and beyond! 
Funny story, at this writing I am just over 5 years into my Keto-Life and when people I haven't seen in a while see me they all compliment me on my weight loss.  When they ask what I did, I tell them I just cut out carbs and sugar.  They automatically say "Oh, that Atkins thing?".  I briefly explain the premise of keto.  Almost without exception, they say "that can't be good long term."  Remember I had most of this off for over 3 years.  I just change the subject and move on.  I know what they really mean is that they are currently unable to sustain this themselves. Even I, with my success get detractors.  But as I have already had great success, I have a nonnegotiable conviction in what I am doing.  You will get there too!
